The Miraculous Medal, also called the Medal of Our Lady of Grace, appears here in full color: the Blessed Virgin Mary with open hands and rays of grace, set in a gold-tone brass frame.
- Size: 7/8" (2 cm)
- Material: brass with full-color image of Our Lady
- Made in: Italy
- Blessing: Blessed by Pope Leo XIV
- Shipping: Ships from Rome, Italy
The design was given to St. Catherine Labouré during her apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Paris and first struck by the goldsmith Adrien Vachette. The Church holds that those who wear it with faith and devotion receive special graces through Mary's intercession — which is why it is so often given at baptisms, confirmations, and sickbeds.
